SrushtyPD supported Nimble in the design, prototyping, and tool development for their IoT-enabled temperature probe. The technology was developed and manufactured in India, showcasing Srushty's expertise in mechanical design and prototyping, leading up to the pilot unit build.

Background

This IP67-rated temperature probe, designed by SrushtyPD for Nimble, is a flagship product among many developed over a decade as Nimble’s technology partner. It is designed for measuring temperatures in food and liquids, showcasing SrushtyPD’s expertise in product development and its long-standing partnership with Nimble.

Objective

The primary objective was to develop an aesthetically pleasing, IoT-enabled, and compact temperature probe with an IP rating. This product was designed to be both visually appealing and technologically advanced, meeting the highest standards for durability and functionality.

Our Work

Industrial Design – We did the ideation using freehand sketching mainly to understand different concepts. This is one such concept that stood out keeping aesthetics and functionality in mind.

Validation

The concept, feasibility and look and feel were validated with the help of mock-ups. With this, the ‘form’ was validated. This helped in simplifying and modularizing the design.
